First thing about Indian culture is unity in diversity. Despite presence of several ethnicities, religions and languages, Indians are one entity. This makes India the largest secular state. Indian culture includes monuments, music, theater, architecture, art, festivals and much more.
Indian is famous all over the world for its culture and heritage. India is birthplace of one the oldest religion on this earth i.e, Hinduism. Other religions that originated in India are Buddhism, Sikhism, and Jainism. Majority of people follow Hinduism however, religions that are not originated in India such as Islam and Christianity also followed by huge mass.

Indian cuisine varies in regional styles. Rice is a staple food of people living in southern and eastern part of India and northern part predominated by wheat. Cuisine of western India comprises of Goan, Maharashtrian and Gujarati food. Goan food consists of coconut, rice and fish whereas Gujarati food is mainly vegetarian. Maharashtrian food depends more on sorghum and millet as well as rice and fish.
Eastern cuisine is famous all over the country for its desserts especially Rasagolla, kheeri and sandesh. Idli, vada, dosa and sambar are typical south Indian favorites. North Indian cuisine usually has high usage of diary products like ghee and paneer. Shahi panner and dalmakhani are most famous as vegetarian north Indian food whereas tandoori chicken and butter chicken dominates the non-vegetarian department.
Indian celebrates number of festivals throughout the year. Diwali, Holi, Onam, Durga Puja and Baisakhi are few of them. Even dances have several classical and folk forms. Bharatnatyam, kathak, Bhangra and Ghoomar are some of the folk dances.
Indian culture can be defined as huge collection of heritage, customs and traditions. India will never disappoint you as it always has something to give you.
